Two records, and no account

The estimate form asks for a first name, a last name, a phone number, the service you want and a description of the job; the email box is optional. If you manage a rental and give a tenant's name and number so we can reach the unit, that comes in the same box. The web server keeps one line per request: the IP address, the browser, the page and the time. That is the whole list. There is no account, no password and no newsletter.

What each record does

The form entry is used to call you back, to book the visit, to write the estimate Julian Mercado hands over at the property and, if the job goes ahead, to keep the record of what was poured at the address, how thick and on what date, which is the record a guarantee claim is settled against. A tenant's number is used once, to arrange access. The server log is read to keep the site up and to find abuse of the form. None of it is sold.

How far it goes

Not far. Inside the business it is Julian Mercado, who measures and writes the estimate, and the crew booked for the pour. Outside it, the details pass through the company that hosts this website and the companies that carry our email, calls and texts, each acting on our instructions only. A permit application carries the address to the City of Costa Mesa. A public authority gets information only where the law says.

Nothing that follows you

This website sets no cookies of its own, runs no analytics and loads no advertising script, which is why there is no banner asking you to accept anything. Nothing here can tell what you did before you arrived or where you go after. Two kinds of link leave the site, the button to the map of our office on Newport Boulevard and any link to a review platform, and from that click the other company's policy applies, not this one.

Three lengths of time

A form entry that never becomes a job is deleted 15 months after the last message about it, long enough for a landlord to get through a lease turnover and decide. A job record is kept for 10 years from the pour, because California allows 10 years to bring a claim over a hidden defect in construction and the record is what settles one, so it outlasts the workmanship guarantee. The server log is cleared every 21 days.

What you can ask us to do

Ask by phone or by email to see what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, and we answer within 1 business day. Reply STOP to any text message and no more are sent; say on a call that you want no more calls and the number is not dialed again. The California Consumer Privacy Act gives a resident of the state the right to know what a business has collected about them and to have it deleted, exercised the same two ways.

Sent by someone under 18

The site and the work it describes are for adults who own or manage a property, and nothing on it is written for children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and the form has no field for an age because a job on a property is not something a minor arranges. If it turns out a form was sent by a minor, the entry is deleted with every detail in it, no visit is booked, and the sender is not contacted again.

Revisions and questions

This policy is revised when the site or the way a record is handled changes, and the version on this page is the current one; the date in the opening paragraph is the date of that version.
